     Oliver Wells Jr., 59 of Peoria, passed away at 10:56 p.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2010, at Heartland of Peoria.

     He was born in Holly Springs, MS on May 20, 1951, a son of Oliver Sr. and Amelia (Smith) Wells. They preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Earline Wilkins, Francie Johnson and Essie B. Wells; and brothers, Robert Smith and John Wells.

     Oliver is survived by his sons, Robert Brady of MS and Anthony Neal, Craig Hodges, Emmanuel Jones and Denzel Foster, all of Peoria; stepchildren, Frederick, Shanatta and Arlena Hodges, all of Peoria; siblings, Merry (Charles) Odum, Bertha Wells and Willie Wells, all of Victoria, MS and Emmit Wells of Memphis, TN; special friend, Alice Hodges of Peoria; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

     Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 17, 2010, at Clary Funeral Home, 428 West McClure Avenue, in Peoria, with Pastor Grady Barnett, Sr. officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded, following services.
